About

Operation: W.A.T.C.H. Ministries began in 2005 when God called me into ministry.  I had been serving in my home church, Elmwood Baptist Church, for approximately 8 years previously.  During those years of service God laid on my heart a burden for teenagers, more specifically the apathy that was running rampant in my own generation.

In 1999, I went on my first mission trip to the Dominican Republic with SCORE International out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.  I went on the trip to play basketball and go to the beach.  Little did I know, God had a much bigger plan for that week.  About halfway through my trip I began to realize that the world really didn’t revolve around me.  I realized that God was so big and the world was so dark.  People all over the world not only need Jesus, but they are looking for Him.

After graduating from Marshall University in 2001, God took what was at burden and turned it into a calling.  I realized quickly after graduating that God wasn’t going to let me live a “normal” life.  That’s when I went to my Pastor to ask him what to do next.  I didn’t have any idea what to do next, I just knew I had to do something.

Over the next few months God led me to The Gospel Preachers Association and their Youth Missions Director, Keith Johnson.  So, three years later, here I am, doing youth missions & evangelism with the GPA under the name Operation WATCH Ministries.
